Revolution Prophesised
I.
It trudges through ornate debris,
this one-eyed creature (not born of Eve),
and on his back he grows a tree
with arms for branches, balloons for leaves,
II.
and in these leaves he harvests light
and beauty from the world above
to display as bad, despite
their shining goodness; shining love.
III.
But a two-eyed warrior will appear
in the skin of a one-eyed fiend,
crouching in his hand: a spear,
and in his mind: a guillotine.
IV.
This champion will charm the beasts' balloons
with rockfall whispers; a sharpened kiss.
Branches will fall from a righteous wound
and truth will light the necropolis.
