Introduction
I.
A squirming city under streets of Rome
Stretches skin over this organ tome
For the drummer to beat this drum
Of lies
And vice, traitors and spies
II.
And when forsaken travellers pass through
The rotting gates on their journey to
The eternal burn, some remain
Flickering shadows of a dying flame.
III.
So now, my friends, 'tis time we begin
this glorious story of glorious sin.
Watch fiery rust rip autumn leaves
And spread like cancer through sleeping trees.
